 Searching for those long lost relatives' gravesites can be challenging. We found a small reference to Ben and Sally in a historical publication in a library. And there were Ben and Sally buried in Mitch's backyard!

I was searching for a small cemetery in Hyde County, and asked the woman walking by the side of the road. She didn't know - but she took me to her mother's home. Her mother not only knew the cemetery, she knew my Grandmother! We had a wonderful conversation.

 We knew great granddad's parents, but were stopped at that point. Then we found a will for Francis, and in an unusual entry, he had left property to his grandchildren, establishing that critical link from great x 3 grandfather to my great grandfather.
